Does your energy get depleted when you meet large groups of people and speak a lot? Do you feel drained after an evening at a night club but happy and recharged after a get together with close friends at home? I do, and this is how many introverts feel.
I am reading a book called the Introvert Advantage and the author suggests taking small breaks throughout the day to refill your batteries. It could be having lunch alone, taking a short walk, power napping, etc. So the next time you have an action packed day coming up, make sure you build in short stretches of ‘quiet time’ throughout the day to keep you going.
